Dear Friends,
The greatest impact our church will have on the future will be our influence among children, youth and families.
In the 1970s, this church decided to have the best possible children's facility. We stepped out and built the present children's building with a beautiful new nursery, expanded classrooms and additional recreation space. Our children's program doubled in size almost immediately. The Far-Sighted actions of that generation made our present life as a church possible.
However, for the past several years, parents, students and volunteers in our church have been pushing the envelope in terms of our facilities for children and youth. The youth want an area that's more inviting. The children need a space to gather in larger groups.
The Board of Trustees responded to this push by forming two task forces to study our children's and youth areas from 2005 to 2007.
In 2007, the Far-Sighted Campaign was presented to and approved by the congregation. After much fundraising and editing of the plans, progress is finally underway.
The renovations to the youth wing and addition to the west of the current children's wing will be intentionally welcoming and feature beautiful glass entrances that allow an inviting glimpse into a church that's alive with ministry and committed to the development of strong and active families.
We hope you will watch the progress with us over the next year.
