The Youth and Family Complex is always looking for friendly and dedicated people to join our team of volunteers. Below are some of the ongoing opportunities available to be involved at the YFC. There are also several seasonal opportunities that are open throughout the year, which are not listed below. You may always inquire for other specific opportunities.

Did you know that many of our YFC Welcome Desk Attendants are volunteers?  They graciously give their time weekly, bi-weekly, or twice a month to serve the YFC. Volunteers who serve in this role have flexibility. We will match your schedule with ours, and find a good time for you to volunteer. Volunteer shifts are typically a 3-4 hour commitment. Plus, there are some special perks for helping the YFC! For more information email:

The 4Life Fitness Team is a committed group of Fitness Instructors and Trainers who support the YFC through their service, by instructing fitness classes on a weekly basis. This team volunteers their time to instruct and build relationships with YFC members in a group exercise environment.  An application process and training certification must be completed prior to instructing at the YFC. There are some special benefits for instructors who volunteer at the YFC. For more information, email

UPward Basketball and cheer

Coach. Each year, we seek volunteers to coach children in Upward Basketball Teams and Cheer Squads.  Our coaches spend an hour or two during the week, and a couple hours on Saturday, instructing their teams and loving the children who are competing.

Referee. Got a whistle?  On Saturdays, we also have volunteer positions available to referee Upward basketball games. Game days are an exciting, but low pressure environment for anyone looking to officiate and interact with coaches and players.

Pray. Is being a coach or referee not your expertise? No problem. We also recruit Prayer Partners to pray for each team. Upward Sports provides a one hundred day prayer plan to follow. Praying for 350+ players and 75+ coaches is an awesome opportunity for anyone looking to impact God’s kingdom anytime and anywhere.

Each year, the YFC puts on All-Star Sports Camp for children ages 8-12.  This camp is an incredible experience for children looking to learn sports techniques and grow closer to God at the same time. Junior High and High School volunteers are needed to fill counselor roles for the camp.  Each counselor works with 8-9 children during the week of camp.  Counselors lead devotional times with the campers each day in addition to participating with the children as they are instructed in various sports.  For more information, contact Amy Smith
