Junior High Sunday School

6th Grade (Confirmation)
- Teaching Team: Brad Camp & Samantha Decker
Confirmation is a time for connecting, allowing you to connect the dots of your faith journey and "making firm" all that has taken place in your spiritual formation so far. Confirmation also allows you to connect with other students and build relationships in the body of Christ. 6th grade Sunday school will cover material for confirmation, but also focus on growing strong community.
7th Grade Girls
- Teaching Team: Jenny Giovi, Jennifer Dalton, Amanda Morris, Lydia DeJarnette, Amy Castleberry
7th Grade is the time that we begin exploring what it means to be a woman of God. Young girls are surrounded by messages of how they should act and who they are and they don't always line up with what God intended for them. In the Fall, they go through the book “So Long, Insecurity” which discusses how God made them and how they can be confident in what He says about them and not the world.
7th Grade Boys
- Teaching Team: Mark Giovi & Jeremy Faulkner
7th Grade is the time that we begin exploring what it means to be a man of God. Young men are surrounded by messages of how men should be and they don't always line up with what God intended for them. In the Fall, they go through the book “Twelve Ordinary Men” which discusses the disciples and how each one was gifted and used mightily in the kingdom.
- Teaching Team: Eric & Susan Phillips
We will be diving deep into what the Bible says about identity, choices, relationships and love; as shown in 1 Corinthians 13 and Psalm 139. The goal of this class is to explore how real love makes a difference in real life. Interactive programming focuses on receiving the love of God, reflecting that love, and reaching other with His love.
